UNIRAZAK’S efforts in exporting its knowledge and expertise in Islamic banking and financial services to emerging markets have gained its due recognition when the university was awarded the ‘Export Outstanding Achievement Award 2015’ by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation or MATRADE, an agency under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). The glittering award presentation ceremony, officiated by the honourable Minister of International Trade and Industry Y.B. Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, was held on the 26th February at Menara MATRADE. UNIRAZAK’s President and Vice Chancellor YBhg Prof Datuk Seri Dr Md Zabid Bin Hj Abdul Rashid was present to receive the award. UNIRAZAK, via its Centre for Executive Education (CEE), has been playing a pivotal role in various initiatives and projects to promote and implement Islamic banking and finance. This includes efforts undertaken in some of the emerging markets and also in countries as far as Rwanda and Somalia. One of the most prominent projects was the feasibility study project to implement Islamic banking and finance in Russia, which was commissioned by the Russian government. The project, which was spearheaded by MATRADE and under the purview of Bank Negara Malaysia, was undertaken by UNIRAZAK in partnership with IBFIM and the Russian Islamic Business and Finance Development Fund (IBFD Fund).
Continuing its run of accolades and plaudits, Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) won further recognition at the 2nd International Standard Quality Award 2012, held at the Grand Dorsett Subang Hotel on 27 April 2012. UNIRAZAK was honoured as the winner in the category ‘Quality College and University’, and was the only award winner in this category. UNIRAZAK is an ISO 9001:2000-certified institution, meaning that its work processes adhere to strict internal quality controls and procedures. This enables UNIRAZAK to increase efficiency, prevent errors, reduce risk, and generally plan better when it comes to working execution. UNIRAZAK’s faculties and departments under a major ISO audit every year to ensure that all its Quality Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures are revised and up-to-date.

A vibrant campus located in the heart of the nation’s capital city holds Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UniRazak), named for Malaysia’s second Prime Minister. The university has been around for over a decade and received SIRIM certification and Multimedia Super Corridor fairly early on in its inception. The university is currently focusing on fulfilling niche demands for specific industries, recreating itself as a boutique university. Much of the specialisation will focus on entrepreneurship and leadership management programmes. UNIRAZAK is turning its efforts to creating leaders of calibre and class in its next generation of students. Within UNIRAZAK is the Bank Rakyat School of Business and Entrepreneurship, Tun Abdul Razak School of Government and the Graduate School of Business, where knowledge and experience are consolidated. Programmes UNIRAZAK has carried out collaborations for the creations of programmes in the Bank Rakyat School of Business and Entrepreneurship with Babson College, one of the highest-ranked business schools in America. At both Razak Campus and Pintar Campus, students will have a good learning experience and study life surrounded by conducive facilities and amenities. Among the facilities and amenities within our campuses include :
E-Library with a massive collection of 5 online databases which consist of journals, magazines, proceedings, dissertations and an electrical dictionary; 30,000 over e-books on different subjects; computer terminals, student lounge and library; campus-wide wifi hotspots network; computer workstations with 400 computer units; computer labs which are LAN-equipped; a one-stop centre for student services; student lounge; games room; commercial grade kitchen laboratory, front office mock-up rooms, etc.
The Student Affairs Department plans and implements activities for students all year round. At present, UNIRAZAK has over 30 student clubs and societies which include Aikido Club, Diving Club, Badminton Club, Toastmasters’ Club, Debate Club, International Students Club, Indian Students Society, Muslim Students Society, as well as sports and recreation activities. UNIRAZAK is one of very few universities to incorporate co-curriculum subjects into its learning modules. There is a Student Representatives Council also known as MPM.
